Survey any public repository free. A Report reads it at full depth, for any number of public repositories and one private target, for 30 days. Hire us for what a repository cannot show.

Try it first. A public survey is free, and so is the collector's dry run on a private repository. How.

Questions buyers ask

What does hiring a person cost?
€12,000+ (total price is determined per engagement; travel billed at cost). The total depends on the scope: how many repositories and systems, how long, and whether the work is on site. You agree a written scope and price before any work starts, as a separate contract.
What is the difference between a Report and hiring a person?
A Report is €249 (launch price; €499 after launch): 30 days of surveys, private or public, read by the checks, with the questions to put to the live system. A person gets what a repository does not contain: the running system, the team, and the contracts. Try the Report first.
How many targets does one Report cover?
Any number of public repositories, and one private target, for 30 days from the first survey. A private target adds your Report key to its own account, and a Report key can be added to one account. Each further private target needs a Report of its own. How a target runs it · What one Report key covers.
I have bought. What now?
Open your account. It shows every way to spend the Report key, step by step: a public repository, a private one on your machine, or one in your own Google Cloud. You need no account for a public repository.
Does Borehole read or keep my private code?
Borehole never clones a private repository. The collector reads it on your machine. What it sends: never whole files; facts and short excerpts of up to 120 characters where a check matched. Run it with --dry-run to see exactly what would be sent. What happens to your code.
Does anyone check a report before I get it?
A paid survey of a public repository gets a second read by a language model, which can withdraw a finding it judges the code contradicts, and can be wrong. A person reviews your case only when you hire one. How the review works.
What if the report is wrong or not enough?
We refund the order in full, on request within 30 days, when a report has no finding with evidence, read too little of the history for your purpose, or is not what was described. Write to billing@borehole.dev. A re-run on the same commit is always free. Terms, section 7.
Can I rely on a report?
A paid report is its buyer's to rely on, within the terms and up to the limit in their section 9. Nobody may rely on a free reading, and sharing a report does not extend reliance to anyone else. The terms say so in full.
What is free?
Signed out, one free survey in any 30 days, and 5 reports to read in any 30 days. Sign in with GitHub, free, for 5 surveys a day and 15 in any 30 days, and every report in the library. A commit someone has already surveyed costs no survey.
